22A – Elevator Pitch No. 3

Reflection. Natalie gave me some really good feedback. I added an "attention grabber" at the beginning. This is a statistic about mental health. I have began to memorize my elevator pitch and be more comfortable in front of the camera. I'm still trying to figure out the best motions for my hands. I feel like this pitch turned out great compared to the other ones.

  1. Haley-

I thought the statistic was a good start to your pitch, as it lets people know about the need for mental health services. Also, I liked the simplicity of the four steps to accessing help. Personally, I think maybe adding a catch phrase at the end or maybe information on how to access the app; Google Play or Apple store. In my pitch, I ask the public, "will you make them wait?," I believe this is an important question considering a lot of issues with mental health institutions today are wait times. For instance, patients are either waiting for appointments or for insurance policies to take effect. Maybe, you can reiterate the benefits of accessing an app at any time? Just some thoughts. I do agree that your pitch has got better over time. Keep it up!

  2. Hi Hayley,
I love that you added in the statistic at the beginning of your pitch. I really think it helps get people’s attention and shows them the need for mental health services. It has been so cool to see you improve your pitch over the past few weeks. I can tell you are slowly becoming more comfortable and confident in front of the camera. I really like that you are trying to use hand gestures and facial expressions to draw in your audience. I think with a little more practice your pitch will flow and sound even better. You have all the right information in there, so with a few more reps I think you can really nail it. Great job!!
